This is a common Google error and usually happens when you’re logged into multiple Google accounts at the same time, which can block access to shared documents.

The good news: it’s easy to fix.

How to Fix This Issue

Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Open an Incognito / Private Window
    • Chrome: Click the three dots → New Incognito Window
    • Safari: File → New Private Window
    • Firefox: New Private Window
  2. Log into the correct Google account
    • Sign in to the Google account where you want the template saved
    • Make sure you are logged into only one Google account in this window
  3. Click the download link again
    • Return to the PDF
    • Click the “Download Now” or template link once more

This usually resolves the issue immediately.

Why This Happens

Google restricts access when:

  • You’re logged into multiple Google accounts
  • The wrong Google account is active
  • Browser sessions conflict with shared files

Incognito mode removes those conflicts.
